Summary

Celebrate the arrival of 2027 with us on a special New Year's Eve cruise on the Douro.

Boarding at 8:00 PM, get ready for a night of celebration featuring a special dinner, including a selection of starters, main courses, desserts and drinks. At midnight, we'll raise a glass to the New Year with sparkling wine and the traditional 12 raisins, following the tradition of the 12 midnight chimes.

The experience also includes a New Year's Eve supper featuring caldo verde (traditional Portuguese kale soup) and Portuguese-style mini steak sandwiches, extending the evening's convivial atmosphere.

Come and celebrate the arrival of 2027 with delicious food, unique views and the Douro as the backdrop for a memorable night!

  • Welcome Drink – Appetizers:"Alheira" meatballs with sweet-and-sour sauce, a cheese board with a selection of sausages, savory mini bites, sautéed shrimp with cocktail sauce, Camembert cheese topped with red berries, vegetable puff pastries, gin and tonic, and fresh-squeezed orange juice.  

09:30 p.m. – New Year's Eve Dinner

  • Fish Course: Cod on a bed of turnip greens and cornbread, served with smashed potatoes
  • Meat Course: Roast veal with oven-baked rice
  • Vegetarian Option (uppon request): Vegetarian lasagna
  • Sobremesas: "Rabanadas" with vanilla ice cream, sliced almonds served with Port wine sauce, and red berry panna cotta.
  • Bebidas: Altano aged white wine, Roble aged red wine, sangria, beer, water, soft drinks, and coffee

The Douro Ruby New Year’s Eve Cruise begins at Marina do Freixo. After boarding, you’ll enjoy a unique evening aboard a traditional rabelo boat. Take in the city lights while savoring a selection of appetizers and a dinner specially prepared for the occasion.

Shortly before midnight, as is to be expected, sparkling wine and raisins will be served, as tradition dictates. Don’t miss this experience on an authentic rabelo boat—spend this very special night with us!
